Unnecessary reflection 101

After a week of intense work and slightly hangover from RB, finally I can write the first piece of unnecessary reflection :

been here for 2 months and i feel blessed that life is going well so far. Either like the others said I m endearing, diplomatic, playing innocent, due to my expat role… I m truly lucky that most of the people I ve meet are very nice and friendly. Thanks for the continuous invitations despite my shyness or swinging mood.

Among all the people I meet, Iconically I haven’t meet anyone from HK yet (except at work), hence I get to know myself better, also the fact how my background affected me and turned me into who I am nowadays, Hong Kong is a blessed land, a comfort zone, a good shelter, but at the same times it weaken our independent thinking, we take too many things for granted, we think we are aggressive but the fact is we dont even know how to hunt, not to mention if we know how to protect ourselves - like a vulnerable child, we feel insecure easily and affraid of changes, hence we give in our choices of life to faith whilst complaining without trying or putting efforts.

On the other hand, Credited to the last generation, we are lucky to live in a well developed city where emphasizes enjoyments. we are granted the opportunity to drown ourselves in materialism, being offered a solid platform to neglect our moral, skip the basic, to appreciate tastes and values, when others can have a touch of delicious food and fancy clothes, we can already have a grasp of michelin and high-end fashion. When others care about living, we care about decency, no wonder why it leads a judgement that people HK is better yet stuck up - we are all innocent but guilty.

Compare to the rest of the world, it is no doubt that we relatively sharp and outstanding, but we are merely a follower. Maybe if we can be a little bit bold, try to think our of the box, dare to step out the shelter, taking account of the ability to judge and international visions, we wont be so negative anymore - of course, only if you want to live life to the full.

Right, I m not a saint, reflection 101 is over!
to make you feel better - i ve bought 2 bottles of wines and party last night, sitting in front of laptop while maid is cleansing the house, and now i m off for my newly arrive entertainments - hey, just trying to be a good host ;)
